Offensive Enhancements

Damage Over Time: Each turn after being struck by an attack with this Enhancement, the victim must make a Wound Check or degrade 1 level. The victim or a bystander can end this effect early by spending an action (no roll required). Common examples would be Corrosive or Burning attacks. Duration is the skill modifier in turns, and can be extended normally. This Enhancement is Active, but when used in conjunction with an Active Power, Depletion increases by only 10%.

Final Blow: If you die, begin dying, are rendered unconscious, or are driven insane (such as by taking 7 levels of Stability damage), you can take one action in the next turn. For this single action, you are considered uninjured.

Ghost Strike: Your attacks can injure creatures which are incorporeal or intangible. You cannot strike creatures which are ethereal or in another dimension unless they attack you and are also within range of your attack (or unless you have a special method such as Arcane Connection). This is an Active Enhancement. Duration is 0 (1 turn) and can be increased normally. At Veteran, this Enhancement can be made Passive.

Maddening: Each turn after being struck by a Maddening attack, the victim must make a Stability check or degrade 1 level. The victim or a bystander can end this effect early by spending an action (no roll required). (This action might involve brushing away imaginary spiders, persuading or distracting the victim, etc.) Duration is the skill modifier in turns, and can be extended normally. This Enhancement is Active, but when used in conjunction with an Active Power, Depletion increases by only 10%.

Mental Riposte: If you parry a mental attack and your outcome exceeds the attacker's, you injure them, though you have a damage bonus of -2 (instead of your normal damage bonus). Note that a mental parry is an action and must be declared as normal.

Riposte/Overpower: If you block or parry and your outcome exceeds the attacker's, you injure them, though you have a damage bonus of -2 (instead of your normal damage bonus). Note that a parry is an action and must be declared as normal.
